Acousto-optic Q-switch Modulator
Acousto-optic Q switch works in the laser cavity and generates high-intensity pulsed light by actively controlling the mass Q factor (loss) in the cavity. During use, the output of the RF signal will cause part of the laser cavity energy to diffract out of the cavity, resulting in a loss of energy and suppressing the oscillation. When the RF signal is turned off, the cavity loss is rapidly reduced and a strong laser pulse is emitted.
We can provide acousto-optic Q switches of various wavelengths and light apertures. The key parameters to be considered when selecting Q switches are wavelength, optical power density, polarization state, beam diameter, diffraction efficiency, and cooling mode.
Laser in-cavity Q-switching devices manufactured using acousto-optic methods use unique proprietary acousto-optic device manufacturing and packaging technologies to optimize heat dissipation and beam stabilization and ensure our products are robust and compact. It is recommended to use an acousto-optic driver specially designed for Q modulation, which can achieve the best matching of laser cavity length, repetition frequency, wavelength, optical aperture, polarization state, and output power.
